Versailles

=D!
Yesterday I went "stalking" this SUPER COOL jrock band called
VERSAILLES
OMG they are superb xD! Quite similar to Ali Project though, because their costumes are like those of Aristocrat. Dunno what is aristocrat?
[Define:Aristocrat (or Madam when referring to the feminine version of the fashion) is a Japanese fashion that is inspired by what is thought to be worn by European Middle Class and above status persons in the Middle Ages and by fashion worn by the upper class in the 19th Century. The fashion includes long sleeve blouses and shirts, long skirts, corsetry, pants and dresses that are styled similarly for men and women, since it is centered on androgyny and elegance. Make-up, when worn with the fashion, is on the darker side, may be heavy and can be worn by both genders.] - credits to wikipedia
This Visual Kei, Jrock band consists of 5 members(duh!),
WOW they look like high class vampires! (Reminds me of Vampire Knight anime xD)
They remind me of my favorite on9 game, Granado Espada , *DEEP SIGH*
They are still VERY NEW! Just last year(2007)! xD
And their fans are increasing really rapidly by their unique appearances and music! XD
LOVE their songs! Should try and listen to it! XD
Their latest song is Prince , GOOD MUSIC!! :D It drowns my soul xD

[History]
In March 2007, Versailles was formed by Kamijo (Lareine), Hizaki (Sulfuric Acid) and Jasmine You (Jyakura). Later, Teru (Aikaryu) and Yuki (Sugar Trip), who were recommended by the "Rock May Kan", a venue in Tokyo, joined the band.
Kamijo and Hizaki created the concept of Versailles in the autumn of 2006 and spent six months gathering members to express it. Their concept is “The absolute Youshikibi (beauty of form) sound and extremes of aestheticism”.
In March 2007, the details of the band were announced. They released promotional material through the Internet, set up an English language page on MySpace and have made several interviews with foreign press.
Versailles made their first appearance with a showcase on June 23, followed by their first performance on June 24. On these dates they also distributed their very first single and DVD single, The Revenant Choir.
The band signed a contract with the German CLJ Records label and released its first album, Lyrical Sympathy on October 31, both in Japan and Europe. Their song, The Love From A Dead Orchestra also appears on the compilation album, released by Sony BMG in Germany on the November 9, called Tokyo Rock City.
In 2008, Versailles made their debut both in Europe and in America. In March and April, the band performed cooperatively with Matenrou Opera across Europe. Versailles later performed on May 30 at Project A-Kon in Dallas, Texas, and on June 3 at the Knitting Factory in Los Angeles, California, to make an American debut. It was reported in Jasmine You's personal blog and Teru's blog that the concert at Project A-Kon pulled in over 3,000 people, and the live at the Knitting Factory was completely sold out.
On July 9, 2008, Versailles digitally released their first full album, Noble exclusively on international iTunes Music Stores. This was followed by its general Japanese CD release on July 16 and its international CD release on July 30.
Because of a U.S. artist with the same name, Versailles had to change their U.S. territory name. It was officially announced on August 19, 2008 that it was changed to "Versailles -Philharmonic Quintet-". Their first single released under this name is "Prince"...

[Biography]
Despite the fact that Versailles has only recently began their career, the band has received a lot of attention from various media and already have an increasing number of fans. The band formed with various well-known members from the visual kei scene, such as KAMIJO (ex. LAREINE), who has created the concept ? The Absolute Youshikibi (beauty of form) sound and extremes of aestheticism?.The band's trailer already gives us a glimpse of what to expect: beautiful costumes, theatrical acts, and music which is best described as melodic metal, heavy yet melodious and played with excellent skill. In March 2007, Versailles was formed by Kamijo (Lareine), Hizaki (Sulfuric Acid) and Jasmine You (Jyakura). LOVE THIS PICTURE *drools*
It's from their FAMOUS MV, The Revenant Choir
, here's the MV.
At first it *dunno who* will be talking about the storyline, *it's in english no worries* , the middle part is their song, it's soo cool it feels exactly like a MOVIE! Of VAMPIRES! :D :D:D Well the storyline says :

"Aristocrats.. beautifully attired.. in a world filled with the smell of roses. There lived, two clans, one who believe that death brings everlasting happiness, the others seek eternal life. One day, both dreams become reality, the others*or is it elders?* will never be destroyed. They were forced to live in loneliness, like a never ending punishment. *After few seconds* June 2007. The others' time had come, Descendants of the Rose adhered. With their meaning, the memory of that day came flooding back. And the story begins... *continue to end of the song* .... The descendants joined their ancestors.. in the determining of loneliness, she was *dunno what* who believe in death."
WOW sounds really mysterious and temptating and lonely and SCARY xDDD!

[Their album, Noble]

They are known as Versailles -Philharmonic Quintet- in the US because there exists another same name band, Versailles. Btw, Versailles is also a place name somewhere in Europe! :)

Which is my favorite member? KAMIJO the vocalist. He's HOT. :) Many fancy Hizaki though, she's cute! xD
